2011 Team Rules and Letter Requirements
MARIEMONT WARRIOR BASEBALL
TEAM RULES
1. The Mariemont High School Extracurricular Code of Conduct is expected to be followed and upheld by all athletes.
2. Mariemont Baseball Players will complement our school and our communities. Any behavior that reflects negatively on our program in the community or in the classroom will be dealt with by the coaching staff.
3. Be on time for practices and games. If you are not going to be present for practice, it is your responsibility to inform your coach. Absences from practices and games will result in extra conditioning and/or loss in playing time. Each situation will be looked at individually. Unexcused absences will not be tolerated.
4. Good sporting behavior is expected of all team members. Profanity will not be tolerated.
5. Dress for practice will include baseball pants (player provides own) and baseball hat. Baseball players should be prepared to practice indoors or outdoors on any given day.
6. The uniform will be worn properly. When in game uniform, shirt will be tucked and buttoned. Long sleeves must be royal blue, and jackets or pull overs, if worn, bust be the team approved jacket or pullover. Present a professional appearance. You never know who is watching you.
7. Team members are not dismissed from practices and games until equipment is put away and field work is completed.
8. If a player has concerns about his role on the team or about playing time, the player needs to speak with his coach. If parents have concerns about their son’s role on the team, the parents may schedule a time to discuss these concerns with the coach. These parent-coach discussions WILL NOT take place following a game or practice.
LETTER REQUIREMENTS
An athlete selected for the varsity or the junior varsity team will receive the award for that level regardless of the number of innings that the player appears in.
A junior varsity team member that is called up to play for the varsity must:
-dress for 1/3 of the varsity schedule OR
- appear in 50% of the games that they are on the varsity roster for OR
-coaches’ discretion

Cocoa Lodging Info and Tentative Schedule
PLAYERS-If your parents are not getting my emails, forward this on to them, and ask them to email me in return so I may enter their email on my list….
Our accommodations in Cocoa, Florida, have been confirmed. The Mariemont Baseball Team will be staying at the Clarion on Merritt Island. This is about 6 miles from the park, about halfway between the beach and the park. The Address is 260 E. Merritt Causeway, Merritt Island, Florida 32952 321-452-7711
There are other hotels and ocean front properties available that you can find on www.cocoaexpo.com
There is a shuttle launch scheduled for Friday, April 3, so a number of the hotels are filling up for the end of that week.
Our tentative schedule is:
Leave Cincinnati On Saturday, March 26 around 7pm
Arrive in Cocoa, Florida, Sunday March 27 around 10am.
Practice Sunday afternoon and intrasquad scrimmage Sunday night
Monday: Varsity DH , JV game in the morning, trip to the Beach afternoon/evening
Tuesday: Visit Kennedy Space Center in the morning, Varsity DH , JV game in the evening
Wednesday: Varsity A and JV game in morning. Leave complex around 1pm for Cincinnati/ dismissal to parents
