Boys Soccer - District Final - Thur 7:00 pm - at MADEIRA HS - vs CHCA
Updated on 06/10/2022
With their double overtime and PKs victory over Dayton Christian the Warriors advance to the District Finals. If you missed the excitement, the Warriors tied the game with 0:00.2 seconds left in the game when Quinn Budig centered a corner kick and Drew Harris crashed the goal with the header score.
The Warriors are not new to last minute scores:
- vs McNicholas - Taylor Henderson bicycle kicked the tying goal with 0:18 left. McNick went on to be the #1 seed in the division 2 tournament, but they tied us 3-3.
- vs Seven Hills - Quinn Budig fired a screamer from 30 yards out that went through the goalie's outstretched hands to tie the score at 0:09 left in the half.
- vs Finneytown - Critty Ferguson headed a corner kick from Budig with 0:34 left to beat this division 2 opponent, 3-2.
The Warriors face Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy for the second time this season. The first game ended in a 0-4 loss. Based on this, some would predict another loss. Soccer is different. There is so much emotion and will power. In soccer, it's a huge feat to beat a good team twice. Your Warriors are ready.
Fan support is so appreciated by the Warriors. They feed off your energy. These private schools that draw from all over the city lack our sense of community. GO WARRIORS.

Choose the one(s) that best fits your opinion:
- They afford the best coaching available
- Money does not limit them from playing in the best club programs
- Players can be drawn from anywhere and can be offered financial assistance.
- Private schools dominate tournament play disproportionately.
Mariemont competes with them all. This is not a typical public school. We pull tremendous coaching talent from the community. A player can play two sports in a season. Many players play club soccer in the off-season. We have a strong youth program. It enjoys tremendous community support. The crowd turnout for a regular season game has grown and the tournament support is second to none. The Warrior Nation is not put off by long treks; their Warriors need their support.
GO WARRIORS - THANKS FOR A MEMORABLE SEASON
Boys Soccer DISTRICT CHAMPIONS advance to the SWEET 16 - Tue 7:00 at Princeton HS
Updated on 06/10/2022
The Warriors brought the District Championship home for the 3rd time in 4 years. Still, they were seeded 6th. Their 2-1 win over CHCA was a solid win against a very strong team.
The Warrior fans were the 12th man on the pitch this evening. Every player, coach and referee on the field could feel the energy.
The Warriors have thrived in the role of underdog. They get to avenge another regular season loss to Summit in the Regional Semi Finals - AKA THE SWEET SIXTEEN. The mantra for this team: It's so hard to beat a good team twice.
The Warriors appreciate all the energy the Warrior Nation can muster. GO WARRIORS.
